I almost missed this as I typically just go to active topics. I wonder if it would be nice to start a list of suppliers in one spot so we can all find the good deals if there are any. Another thing that might be nice is to have a discussion on what tolerances are really acceptable as this will also drive the cost. Here's a supplier I found www.homeshopcnc.com they have ball screws and stepper motors. I think a 3 ft ball screw assembly is about $350 for example. Any idea on what the ideal size would be? I'm thinking about 3ft X 2ft X 8 inches. Probably to myuch for one post and maybe should be multiple post. Sorry bout that. |

Jim - a list of suppliers is a great idea, Ill make a sub category in the OLF Online Resources page and list them there. |
